The 7th International Conference on Frailty and Sarcopenia Research (ICFSR) will be hosted in Barcelona on 27-28 of April, 2017. The event will gather distinguished representatives from national centres for health, research institutes, industry, and researchers from academia to share their expertise.

This year, ICFSR will focus on topics such as the biology of frailty and ageing; physical frailty; cognitive frailty; frailty in clinical practice and public health; and clinical trials and therapeutics. Sarcopenia will be covered through a number of aspects, including animal models, preclinical studies, new drug developments, nutrition intervention and epidemiology.

SUNFRAIL will be featured in a poster presentation, where Marcello Maggio (Professor at the University of Parma), SUNFRAIL partner from Emilia-Romagna region, will present the 9-item questionnaire for the early identification of frailty and multimorbidity developed by the project. Moreover, experts from SUNFRAIL project, Matteo Cesari and Bruno Vellas (Toulouse University Hospital, France)  are part of the organising committee of the ICFSR and are also featured in the conference programme.
